Test your pond water conditions once a week to maintain a clean, healthy pond. For testing: dip strip directly into pond and swirl two times. Remove horizontally with pads facing up. Note: the strip must be parallel to the water when removed. Do not shake off excess water. Compare results to color chart on the tube. Immediately read General Hardness (the top pad), Carbonate Hardness, and pH. Wait 30 seconds, then read Nitrite and Nitrate. Keep wet fingers out of the tube and close tightly after removing strip. Store in a cool, dry place. For best results, read in a well-lit area.
